Privacy & security

Who can see my recordings?.

You, your designated recipients, and any co-admins you add. That's it.

Updated

Only people you specifically designate can access your messages:

  • You — the account holder, full access to everything in your vault.
  • Recipients — only the messages addressed to them, only after delivery.
  • Co-admins — metadata about scheduled messages (recipient, schedule), but not the contents of unreleased messages. See Co-admins explained.

That's the entire access list. We don't share, sell, or rent your recordings to anyone.

Our staff

A small number of WWDS engineers have systems-level access required to operate the service (back up files, restore lost data, debug crashes). We don't browse user content, and access is logged. Anything beyond that — for example, looking at a specific user's vault on request — happens only when a user asks us to and authenticates the request.

Law enforcement

We comply with valid legal process. If we receive a subpoena, warrant, or court order, we'll notify the affected user unless legally prohibited from doing so. We push back on overbroad requests.
