Your account
Deleting your account.
What gets deleted, what stays with recipients, and the timeline.
Updated
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account.
What happens immediately
- Your sign-in is disabled
- Your account is queued for deletion
- All future deliveries are paused
30-day grace period
For 30 days after a deletion request, your account is recoverable. Sign in (we'll let you, just for this) and click Cancel deletion. After 30 days, deletion is final and irreversible.
What gets deleted at the end of 30 days
- All your recordings (video, audio, text)
- Your transcripts and search index
- Your prompt history and account metadata
- Your billing record (we keep a minimum tax record as required by law)
Deleted content is purged from live storage immediately and from backup snapshots within 90 days.
What stays
- Already-delivered messages stay in recipients' vaults. A message you sent your kid is theirs to keep — your account deletion doesn't reach into their copy.
- Outstanding scheduled messages (queued for delivery but not yet released) are deleted with your account unless you transferred them to a co-admin or another account first.
If there are scheduled messages you want to preserve before deleting, export them first.
